Social and Emotional
- Begins to smile at people - All the time!
- Can briefly calm herself (may bring hands to mouth and suck on hand) - Yes, indeed!
- Tries to look at parent - Sure does!
Language/Communication
- Coos, makes gurgling sounds - Yes...she's making sounds more frequently everyday
- Turns head toward sounds - Yes
Cognitive
- Pays attention to faces - Yep...she's a studier
- Begins to follow things with eyes and recognize people at a distance - Yes, she even squealed the other day when she saw me across the room!
- Begins to act bored (cries, fussy) if activity doesn’t change - Sometimes...mostly just falls asleep...she's my sleeper, for sure.
Movement/Physical Development
- Can hold head up and begins to push up when lying on tummy - She hold her head up very well...she's working on the pushing up...she just doesn't get much tummy time...she gets sick if she stays on her sensitive tummy for too long...
- Makes smoother movements with arms and legs - Getting there...most of her movements are still pretty jerky
